First Time Cruise
Why cruise for the first time?
A first cruise is more than just a vacation. Few vacations offer greater value than a cruise vacation, with amazing facilities onboard, a variety of activities ashore and ability to visit many different destinations in one cruise and only have to unpack once.
What’s included in your cruise?
Your cruise fare includes your stateroom accommodations, gourmet dining, entertainment including Broadway-style shows, onboard activities such as pools and deck parties, educational programs, kids programs/kids clubs, fitness center, library, night clubs, and more. Additional charges apply to the full service spa and massages, beauty salon, boutiques and shopping, art galleries, shore excursions, and bar drinks.
What are the onboard cruise activities?
There are lots of ways to spend your day from sunrise to sunset your first time cruising. You can workout in the Fitness Center or relax in the full service spa. There are pools for fun and relaxation. If you have children there are Kids Clubs onboard, which cater toddlers to teenagers. You can enjoy boutique shopping or our Las Vegas styled casinos. At night, experience lavish productions, unwind in our bars and lounges, dance the night away, or perhaps watch a movie under the stars - the choice is yours on your first time cruise.
What can I do ashore?
Shore Excursions are specific tours booked through a cruise line and offered in various port cities, and include many options for adventure and entertainment when you reach a port of call. They are a great way to enhance your first cruise experience while seeing more of the ports on your cruise.
What are the cruise dining options?
It’s your vacation, so you decide whether you want elegant or casual, early or late, in a traditional dining room or in a specialty restaurant of your choice. With a broad array of dining it is up to you where you wish to try an award winning cuisine on your first cruise.
What will my stateroom be like?
Staterooms vary from ship to ship and accommodations include Grand suites, private balcony staterooms, outside cabins with a window or interior cabins in which you can relax. Staterooms offer a television, telephone, private bathroom and vanity, daily housekeeping and room service.
What do I need to bring on my first cruise?
Days onboard are casual and you'll be most comfortable in sport clothes and resort wear. Shoes should be low-heeled for deck activities. Pool/Beach towels are not required as they are provided. If you like, you may bring more formal clothing for evening activities. Depending on your cruise – cocktail dresses for women and sport coat, suit and tie (or even tuxedos) for men.
